Six String Nation visits Gleneagle

Jowi Taylor and the Six String Nation Voyageur guitar will be visiting Gleneagle next week to talk about the creation of a cultural icon and an instrument that continues to provide the musical soundtrack to a very Canadian story that continues to unfold.

The school’s Me to We club and Music Department are holding the evening as a charity event, with proceeds from ticket sales ($5 and available at lunch in the Gleneagle foyer this week) going toward the creation of a school, and freshwater well in Ecuador.

Included in the hourlong presentation of the guitar’s journey thus far, two musicians from the Gleneagle family will have the opportunity to play it, and give Voyageur its own Coquitlam story.
